Magical Story Writing

Our 1st graders have made their debut as story tellers!Children wrote their own story. Their stories had hand drawn pictures too! This activity was designed to help them express their thoughts in a written medium. Parents intervened when kids had trouble with structuring. Moststories were inspired by real life incidents- sparrow’s visit to the house, pet cat, flying a kite, butterfly on the plant, visit to the park etc. Of course, there were a good number in the fantasy genre too- fish friends, parrot helping a cat, etc. Thank you, kids for regaling us with your interesting stories!
