Testing for Chlorophyll in Leaves

Natural dyes are so underrated! And God forbid, might be forgotten!!! As grade 3 children had learnt about chlorophyll, they experimented with leaves for their artwork. They sandwiched leaves between a fabric and paper, tapped the paper with a stone/hammer. When they discarded the sheet of paper, they were amused to see the dye on the fabric. This activity confirmed the presence of chlorophyll in leaves and that chlorophyll makes perfect eco-friendly dyes! One stone, two mangoes?! Yupp, pretty much!
